What is the Hybrid – Normal leave model?

Hybrid is an advanced version of the Year Of Service leave model. Under this leave model, all the leaves are available to an employee at any given time of the year.

Where in Year Of Service leave model calculates the leave based on the Leaves period i.e Employee's Joining Anniversary.

For example:

Mr. Tan has joined the company on 01 June 2014 and the leave period would be from 01 June 2014 to 31 May 2015. And for the following year, the leave period starts from 01 June 2015 to 31 May 2016.

If the employee has 14 Days Annual Leave entitled for the First Year and based on this year of service leave calculation the employee has gained 15 Days Annual Leave entitled for the Second Year

If the employee is applying for leave in September he/she would have 3.48 Days Leave available to consume.

i.e {14 (Leaves) /12 (Months) * Number of completed months} = 1.16*3(Jul, Aug, Sep) = 3.48 Days.

The leave calculation formula is as per below:

Leave entitlement until 31st of December 2014 is calculated as follows:

{14 (Leaves) /12 (Months) * Number of completed months} = 1.16 * Number of completed months.

{1.16*6(Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec)} = 6.99 Days

Leave entitlement until 31st of May 2015 is calculated as follows:

{15 (Leaves) /12 (Months) * Number of completed months} = 1.25 * Number of completed months.

{1.25*5(Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May)} = 6.25 Days

Employee completed the first year on 31st of May 2015 with a total of (6.25+6.99 = 13.24) Days Leave.
